Jeremiah’s Room Renovation: Day 3 & 4…

So on “Day 2” I went and got the knockdown texture…wow…$13 a can!   Anyways, I still couldn’t decide between the 2 different shades of tan/brown that I had so I didn’t get any paint that day.  When Billy got home he sprayed the texture on the walls….there were a lot of flat spots that had been “repaired” that needed the texture added back to it…

well that’s just 2 of the walls..but you get the picture…We also determined what we are going to do with his closet…check out this link!  I love this!!!

So last night we headed to Lowe’s determined to get paint and decide on which shade of tan/brown to get!  While looking at the paint we noticed those little cards that have a pic of a room and the 4 colors used in it…and Billy says “Gray would be a cool ‘boys’ room color…tan/brown is more adult”…GENIUS!  (but don’t tell him I said that *wink*)  So we walked out with a gallon of primer and a gallon of Bay Waves…so beachy sounding!  Here’s what it looks like…this is up against our living room wall…

It’s the lighter one on the left…it looks really light against other colors..almost white…but I assure you its not.

So after we got home Billy got to work tearing up the closet…here’s the before and after!

So on the left side he cut out about 15 inches and 4 inches on the right.  You can’t really tell much in the pics but I assure you…it’s a big difference!  I’m gonna hold out on painting just yet until we do the new chipboard/floor this weekend…just to prevent any accidental scrapes when tearing the floor out against by beautiful paint…so my job today…is this…

yeop clean-up…I think I got the short end of the stick on this one..he got to tear up stuff…and I gotta clean it up…oh well…

to be continued…

  1. Was the spray texture just like an aerosol can? That's pretty cool. I think gray will be awesome. Love the closet too.
