Labor Day Weekend!

Well all weekend our living room has been a mini construction zone…We (okay, Billy and his dad ;)) took out the gas fireplace and the entire wall (angled corner) so that we can open it up and have a full corner for our wood stove!

I did my best to stay out of the living room and in the kitchen cooking, and baking (it calms me down).  Well that was all Saturday.

On Sunday we went out to Falcon to my Mom & Dad’s house for a good ole family BBQ!  Had a lot of fun with all 3 boys playing around, we went down to the pond to throw some rocks, and just spend some quality family time together!  Those are the best days in my opinion!

Now its Monday (Labor Day) and Billy is finishing up the plaster on the dry wall to sand it down and I’m thinking about doing some more baking!

Make sure you cook your eggs!!

So i haven’t been on here in over a week…had a lil incident.  I wanted over-easy eggs, cooked them (so I thought) and ate about half of them.  Well turns out i had a lil spell of salmonella from the lil bit of raw egg that i had eaten!  And those are the walmart 30 pack eggs, just so everyone knows.  That brand was not included in the egg recall…believe me, i researched it!  Anywho…i am back to feeling my somewhat normal self now (YAY!).  I have noticed though, that you never truly realize how good you feel on a regular basis until you are sick like i was!  Wow!  Well enough of that…here is a picture of the beautiful sky from the back deck!

Big 'lil man

Well tonight Billy finished building Jeremiah's twin bed frame. It's definitely going to take some getting used to Jer being such a 'big' boy. I am so very proud of him though! Billy did a great job building it from scratch....and as you can tell by the picture....I'm pretty sure Jeremiah loves it too!
